I didn’t really choose marketing and events as a career. They kind of chose me. I wanted to be an anchor woman. Straight out of college, I tested out that dream at a community television station in Southern Utah. Turns out, I sort of hated it. I liked to be a little more behind the scenes. After hopping from lily pad to lily pad for a while, I was hired as a marketing and event manager in downtown L.A. That was more than 20 years ago. Since then, my career has taken different twists and turns and moved me all over the world. It’s been an amazing ride.

Over the years, I’ve worked with HUGE organizations and very tiny ones as well. Ohio State University, International Council of Shopping Centers, Western Veterinary Conference, Urban Expositions, Tropicana Resorts, Magic, HS Brands, Zen Gaming,  ExpoLogic, Casa de Luz, LV ARTreach, Light of the World Childhood Cancer Foundation, Outside Las Vegas Foundation, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Foundation for Recovery and many others. As you can see, it really runs the gamut of industries. That’s made me good at adapting to a wide variety of situations. The work I’m proudest of is that which has had an impact on people’s lives.

About 10 years ago, I worked with a nonprofit organization for the very first time. I loved it, of course. That’s taken me down the road of learning a lot about the special needs of nonprofits and ministries. Having spent just about half of my career in the corporate world and half in nonprofits, I have a lot to offer just about any type of organization that comes my way.

Recently, I’ve come out of a battle with breast cancer with a renewed passion for life and a different perspective. I want to use everything I have in every way that I can. Consulting allows me to do that while helping others with their dreams. How amazing is that?

You can read my testimonials to hear more from people I’ve worked with. I think most everyone I’m close to or have had the privilege of working with will say that I’m passionate, I’m driven, I’m good at solving problems, I get things done, and I put my whole heart into it.

Thank you for tuning in. I hope to have the chance to work with you.

P.S. I love my daughter, my family, my sweet pup, coffee, my tribe, a good prayer, sunrises/sunsets, being outdoors, and the ways in which writers use words to create art. ❤
